Dr. Rajathsing Kalusulingam is a materials chemist specializing in layered double hydroxides (LDHs), polymer nanocomposites, and carbon-based materials for energy conversion, environmental remediation, and functional coatings. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences from the Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR), affiliated with CSIR-Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSIR-CSMCRI), India, where he developed multifunctional LDH–polymer systems for flame retardancy, UV protection, oil/water separation, and heavy metal adsorption. With over a decade of hands-on experience in synthesis, thin-film fabrication, and structural characterization, he has authored multiple journal articles, book chapters, and patents on biomass-derived polymers and nanostructured materials. He has received national recognition for his research presentations and actively contributes to academic and outreach programs. Since September 2024, he has been working as a postdoctoral researcher at Daegu University, South Korea, where he is continuing his research on advanced nanomaterials for sustainable energy applications.
